One of the best film composers ever and THE bond soundtrack man,
here's one of his best, On Her Majesty's Secret Service
http://www.sendspace.com/file/6d7z62

Does anyone have his soundtrack to fairly obscure british movie Deadfall?
I've heard it's a lost classic.

I do. It's OK, but I wouldn't say it's one of his best or anything like that.

I would upload but am in the process of packing to move.

Fusty, were you around on the old board when Toby was still here? He uploaded a TON of Barry soundtracks. If not, maybe I could find a moment to reup some of them (it will be a few days).

No I think I missed those, unfortunately. I'd appreciate any uploads though - thanks!
There was an article in this month's Mojo magazine which re-awakened by interest in Barry, it was one of their "How to buy" features listing the 10 best albums to get. I've not got it with me unfortunately, but the top album is called, "Ready when you are, J.B." which I'd not heard of and would be keen on hearing. I've got a great compilation called "Lounge Legend" which is some of his reworkings of his classic movie themes.

Here's a new John Barry comp from EMI that just came out a couple months ago. Many of these recordings are from his solo LPs in the late 60s, including Ready When You Are, JB.
This has my favorite version of the Bond Theme too, plus Nancy Sinatra's single version of You Only Live Twice:

1.James Bond Theme
2.Goldfinger
3.Midnight Cowboy
4.Out Of Africa (I Had A Farm In Africa)
5.John Dunbar Theme (Dances With Wolves)
6.You Only Live Twice (Nancy Sinatra)
7.On Her Majesty's Secret Service
8.The Ipcress File
9.View To A Kill (Duran Duran)
10.Girl With The Sun In Her Hair
11.007
12.Zulu Main Theme
13.The Knack
14.Chaplin Main Theme
15.The Lion In Winter Main Theme
16.Moviola
17.The Persuaders
18.Seance On A Wet Afternoon
19.Born Free (Matt Monro)
20.Thunderball (Tom Jones)
21.Somewhere In Time
22.Beyondness Of Things
23.We Have All The Time In The World (Louis Armstrong)
24.Diamonds Are Forever (Shirley Bassey)
