I just recently made a CDr for the car of excellent B sides from the 60s.
Mainly as I don't have alot of them on Cd so transfered them from the original 45's
Loads of great Bsides in the 60's

Here's a few that were on my disc, recommend some of your own. :

Love is good - the Mindbenders (Groovy kind of love flip)
Feeling So Good- Manfred Mann (ha ha said the clown flip)
I got it bad- Del Shannon (The Big Hurt flip)
Over You - Del Shannon ( Stranger in town flip)
Around and Around - 4 seasons (flip of lonesome rd by the Wonder Who)
Raven- 4 seasons (Flip of watch the flowers grow)
Saturday Night out- The Searchers (flip of needles and pins)
Instant part/Circles- The Who (Flip of substitute)
Hung On You- The Righteous Bros ( Flip of Unchained)
and finally
Please Believe- The Beatmen ( Flip of now the sun is gone)

took me years to identify the last tune, I had it one a battered cassette for years. Love that song , check it out:

Gawd bless ya Lana.
I've been after that track a while. My copy of Beggin is a reissue and just has Walk Like a man on the flip.

Thats the one that starts out a bit like 'Song remains the same' isn't it?

I saw Twinkle playing live a few years ago. She was singing "Those were The Days" with Cynthia Lennon. Quite bizarre Laughing

Wow, I'd have loved to see that! That is bizarre! Terry/The Boy Of My Dreams was one of a number of old 45s from my very early childhood which I've still got (though very very scratched - we'd chuck the things around like frisbees in those days). Terry is great - one of those 'leader of the pack', boyfriend from the wrong side of the tracks commits suicide when forcibly separated from his presumably 'respectable' girlfriend (the singer) type songs. I always remember my dad saying that a bloke at work's daughter's boyfriend committed suicide on his motorbike for the exact same reasons as 'Terry' (and had been influenced by the song)!

I also love the way in 'Boy Of My Dreams' Twinkle sings: "Some day I know he'll pop the question with a twinkle in his eye!" It's like she's sort of winking at you as she sings it.

I've got the Twinkle 45 but never flipped it over till you mentioned it.
I've got her follow up too "Golden Lights" as covered by The Smiths.

The Kinks "I Need You" was the flip of "Set Me Free" I think - awesome one that.

And wasn't The Hollies "So Lonely" the flip of "Look Through Any Window"? So Lonely is my favourite Hollies track!

Not an E-Bow. IIRC, the E-Bow was invented (or at least first marketed) in the early to mid 70s. I'm thinking 1974 for some reason, I'll have to check that date.
Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-bow

Jimmy Page used just a plain old-fashioned violin, viola or cello bow. Eddie Phillips of The Creation was already bowing his guitar before Page.

Cheers,
Deke
